Last Tuesday Year 3 had a fabulous day out to the Weald and Downland Outdoor Museum in Singleton. The sun shone and the children walked round visiting some traditional buildings, including a working water mill. They saw shire horses pulling carts, ducks in the lake and hens roaming freely. Our workshop was at the Apothecary’s where they all made their own heavily scented pomanders from various ingredients including rose petals and lavender oil. I carried all 18 of them back to school in my bag, which will smell delightful forever I think! – Mrs Waddington.
