Year 6 had a fantastic time at the Rural Life Centre yesterday. The children had a talk about levers and pulleys, where they found out that they could lift a heavy cart with one hand just by using a lever. Later they dressed up as Victorian girls and boys and went to the Victorian schoolroom. We practised writing on slates and using dip pens and ink and played with Victorian toys. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and recommend the centre for a family visit.
