Year 5 experienced the sights, sounds and smells of the rainforest yesterday without having to go to the Amazon – we visited the Living Rainforest in Newbury where the children found out just how hot and humid a rainforest is, and how the plants and animals are adapted to thrive there. We met the cheeky Goeldi’s monkeys, the funny six banded armadillo and the slightly scary salmon-pink toed tarantula. A fantastic day was had by all!
