On the Sporting Front……

Mrs Penfold writes …..All girls in 4, 5 and 6 played against Waverley School this week. U9s played High 5 netball. The girls played well and deserved their 3-3 draw. U11A – Had a convincing win. Good individual and team performances. U11B – For some of these girls it was their first match. Good passing and team work got them a deserved 3 -1 win.

Mr Friend writes…Captain Harry led his Year 5 teammates into battle on Remembrance Day vs Waverley. Following 8 weeks of hard work in training developing our systems in attack and defence, the boys are starting to feel confident against strong opposition. Waverley scored first, before Lyndhurst equalised early in the second half. Waverley capitalised on a momentary lapse in concentration to go in front, scoring 2 in quick succession. The second of the two galvanised Lyndhurst and they fought to the bitter end, coming agonisingly close on many occasions. Easily the best performance that I have seen for this squad with the whole class making excellent progress on the field.
