With the help of the education team at the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth, Year 4 travelled back in time over 400 years to learn about life on board Henry VIII’s favourite warship. After being raised from 11m below the surface of the Solent, the legendary Tudor ship has gone through various different stages of restoration before resting in all the glory the class experienced on their visit. The children learnt how the crew lived their lives onboard, about French and English Naval tactics in the Battle of the Solent and combined as a team in a Tudor Cannon Gun Drill workshop.
