When your child joins Reception, they will now be participating in the life of the whole school. He or she will be involved in more formal activities every morning which will include maths, English or topic work. They will also be reading four times a week and will bring their reading books home to share with you. One of our main aims in Reception is to make sure that your child settles in quickly and is happy and enthusiastic about coming to school.
