Year Three had a lovely visit to Bignor Roman Villa on Monday despite the occasional rain shower. The children dressed up as Roman citizens, whilst some were rich Romans other were lowly slaves! The children were given a tour of the villa in the morning and saw the amazing mosaics, a hypocaust and the Roman bath. After lunch the children participated in activities and workshops where they all had a go at grinding corn into flour. They returned tired but happy having learnt a lot about how the Romans lived in Britain – Mrs Draper
