I had a great time when year three took me with them to Chertsey Museum. I was dressed up as an Anglo Saxon, though I don’t think the costume suited me. I learnt how to write my name in Anglo Saxon runes and helped the children make brooches. We looked all around the museum and had an interesting talk about Anglo Saxon artefacts. I also watched the children perform some lovely dramas about St Augustine. The children got to make counters for an Anglo Saxon game out of clay, but I didn’t help them with that because it looked very messy and I wanted to keep my fur clean. We all learnt a lot about the Anglo Saxons.
