After being postponed from last Friday the Reception children went on their local walk. They were encouraged to look at the local amenities that they walked past as we will be having a go at drawing some simple maps of our local area next week with the children writing what they saw – shops, park, restaurants on their maps. We talked about the crossings and how to cross the road safely and we posted our letters to each other – how long will they take to come back. Then we had drinks, biscuits and a play in the park to finish.
