Year 5 ventured into the wilderness recently as they trekked through the Living Rainforest! They peeled back the vines, and peered past the ferns and discovered a range of animals, including tortoises, snakes, armadillos and even a sloth! As they pushed on, they had to be wary of where they put their feet, as there were all manner of bush-level birds running along on the ground. Year 5, with the help of their guide, examined the leaves of plants to investigate how they drain unwanted water away – did you know some plants have HAIR on their leaves to help this process!? These adventurers represented Lyndhurst School excellently; their behaviour and attitude was excellent, and they are now prepared to tackle the new jungles that await them after half term in their science lessons!
