Year three showed off their talents in their drama showcase on Tuesday when they performed a play called ‘The Romans’ to the whole school and their proud families. The audience were transported back 2000 years where they saw; the construction of a Roman road, the Roman army on the march and a feast being held in honour of the Emperor in a large Roman villa. The poor slaves were rushed off their feet while the Roman wife worried about the menu, much to the annoyance of her careworn husband. The children acted well with loud, clear voices and also sang and danced beautifully. Musical talents were also on display with renditions on recorders and guitar. The audience was thoroughly entertained and learnt a lot about Roman times as well.
