In French, Year 3 have been learning a poem called ‘Les Arbres’, about trees and their branches. We have used this to discover some more French phonemes, and to listen for rhyme and rhythm in a foreign language; we were able to hear rhyming sounds even when we didn’t know exactly what the words meant.
