This week Lyndhurst school embraced all things healthy. Staff and children alike enjoyed a full day off normal timetable to focus on fun activities to keep bodies and minds active and healthy. Our friends from St.Michaels, Rev. Pippa and Amy visited us this week to provide some fabulous fun and mindful awareness in their Messy Church session. Groups of children visited stations set up in the hall and took part in crafting activities including mask making, rain shakers and the ark building itself!
In conjunction with Mental Health week and as part of our PSCHE curriculum, our focus has been on feelings, healthy minds, awareness and the importance of talking about our feelings. From this focus we have made some wonderful displays in classrooms and around school and enjoyed some informative assembly time.

Time to sparkle and shine here at Lyndhurst! We love feeling festive and we love our Christmas Jumper day. Everyone shone in their Christmas knitwear and coupled with our Christmas lunch it was a truly fun festive day. Have you worn yours yet?
Our Christmas was wonderfully prepared by Mrs Pearson, Lyndhurst’s chef and her team. We were all treated to a roast with all of the trimmings. We took a moment to acknowledge the privilege of being served such a wonderful feast, each child received a special Christmas treat at their place setting and Christmassy music played….
