Chick-en Update

Our Lyndhurst chicks are all grown up! Thank you once again to Mrs James-Roll for keeping us up to date with how they are doing. They do look very happy strutting in the sunshine.

Spanish – Year 6

Spanish, Year 6 have been writing about rooms and furniture, consolidating what we have learned about adjectival agreement and position, using colours and size. There is a lot of grammar to remember, but we’ve been doing really well!

Drama – The Gruffalo

In drama Year two have been looking at incorporating sound into their performance of the story of ‘The Gruffalo’, working as an ensemble to perform the story in an imaginative way, using their voices to add atmosphere to the presentation. They produced some wonderful work and loved becoming all the different characters in the story.

African sunsets and vibrant colours, Viking sail boats, Egyptian finery and majestic Greek masks. It’s wonderful to see these pieces take shape and how each child creates something unique.  

Outdoor Learning Day

The much anticipated Outdoor Learning Day was a great success! Marshmallows were toasted, dens were built and some were even watertight! Little Lyndhurst Life

Much fun and excitement in Little Lyndhurst last week! Children brought in Teddy bears to enjoy some cake outside. In Reception, the children were busy matching shapes and creating pictures from shapes. They also explored the Bad Tempered Ladybird story and tried to imagine what she might have to say!

French – Off to the Shops!

In Year 5 we have been extending our shopping theme to include shops and new roleplay phrases, and performing these to the class. We have also been learning two very different songs about food…to be revealed at our assembly in June!
