Year 5 – LEAF afternoon
Year 5 made the most of the wonderful spring weather and enjoyed a whole LEAF afternoon. They were able to put all of their skills to good use and put into practice everything they have learnt this term.
Embracing Outdoor Learning
This session of outdoor learning with Reception and Year 1 truly embraced our programme LEAF! The children eagerly hunted for a different variety of leaves in all shapes, colours and sizes. They were then able to examine them up close and make sketches too.
LEAF – Year 2 Build Dens
Year 2 get stuck in! The children thoroughly enjoyed their session den building outside. Working together to choose the right materials for their den and thinking about how to fix it all together. A great effort from all of them and lots of fun too.
LEAF – Year 1
Year 1 enjoyed an interesting and hands on session this week. They explored outside and were tasked with collecting sticks and leaves. Once collected they set about tying them together to make their own paint brushes and tools for art. They loved using the brushes to create texture and patterns.

This week Year 1 wandered down to the local park for their LEAF session. Looking up was key as they spent time identifying different birds, their calls and silhouettes. LEAF – Reception and Year 1
Our resilient and hardy children in Reception were not put off by the recent cold snap, they loved getting to grips with the great outdoors in their latest LEAF session. Working together was key as was enjoying the fresh air nature and having lots of fun.
Leaf
Year 6 children thoroughly enjoyed and embraced their outdoor learning session this week. They perfected their den building skills and got to work whittling. They are all gaining brilliant outdoor skills, determination and teamwork.
Little LEAF
Our Little Lyndhurster’s had great fun exploring outdoors this week in their LEAF session. They were on a hunt for interesting sticks and leaves which they collected and took back to class to take a closer look!
