The annual Greenfields Year 4 English Competition was a very successful event this year, and when we arrived we saw that the field had expanded from nine to twelve competing teams! The Lyndhurst Team excelled and impressed with their knowledge of spellings, idioms, grammar and vocabulary, as well as their prowess at Creative Writing. More than that, their teamwork and determination were outstanding.
With the top four Year 4 children selected by each of a variety of schools competing, we were up against stiff competition and did not manage to get onto the winner’s podium this year; however, the children had a great time and made us very proud of both their behaviour and their achievements.
