Turner skies mindfulness

Posted: 20th January 2021

We all benefit from mindfulness – time to be kind to yourself.  Mindfulness helps children to focus on what’s happening now and to keep their thoughts from drifting.  This week’s mindfulness task was to take a mindful moment to look at the view from Turner Contemporary.  Then to use it as an anchor to pull them back to the present moment.

The activities help the children to practice concentration, to look closely and to develop their awareness as they take in the seascape, and then translate it into their unique experience into an artwork.

Thank you to Turner Contemporary for the Creative Mindfulness activities.
