There was great excitement in school amongst the children and staff when the living eggs arrived.  The eggs were kept warm in an incubator and we waited with anticipation for them to hatch.  Some of the children were fortunate to observe a few chicks hatch.

Once they were in the brooding box the children enjoyed handling them with care and there was much entertainment when they ‘pooped’!

Caring for a newborn animal brought lots of joy and happiness into school.  Spring is just around the corner.
