Cricket match report courtesy of Year 6 boys…
Year 5 and 6 had a busy week, as they had a cricket match against their rivals, Barfield. The final run scores were Lyndhurst: 234, and Barfield: 212. Very predictable, as we have some very talented cricketers in our squad. Evan said ” It was a very hot, but that just drove us on, and we won by 22 points!” Charlie quoted ” We played well and bowled and caught a lot of people out, especially Rupert, who got 9 catches!” The fixtures after that are as follows:
U11 girls cricket: Away v Barfield 9th June
U9 mixed cricket: Away v Greenfield 11th June
U11 mixed cricket: Home v Waverley 30th June
On the 20th may, year 5 and year 6 are going to Barfield for the day to do the three peaks challenge. It consists of Archery, The leap of faith, Quad biking, Team building, and low ropes. Sounds tiring, but fun!
