Sport – Netball & Hockey

On Wednesday 6th October the U11 netball team played Our Lady’s school. The first two quarters showed a strong start with some good centre passes and the whole team moving into space. At half time Lyndhurst were in the lead. In the last two quarters Jasmine and Eesha’s accurate and consistent shooting made the final score 17-5 to Lyndhurst. Overall the team worked really well together and they all thoroughly enjoyed playing against another school. It was great to see so many parents there supporting and cheering them on.

Well done to Jasmine, Eesha, Scarlett, Makayla, Liv, Freyja, Alice.

On Friday 8th October, the U9 girls Hockey team played Waverley school at home. In the first half we were making some good tackles and showing great defence, especially saving some strong attempts at goals. A break away by Eloise meant a goal for Lyndhurst! At half time we were 2-1 down but the girls were still determined. Overall the score was 3-1 to Waverley. The girls showed a great team effort and gave it there all. Both Mrs Morgan-Pugh and Miss Lovett were very impressed as this was their first hockey match. It was a great afternoon and thank you to all the parents who came along to support.

Well done to Eloise, Trinity, Isabelle, Isla, Amelia, Lucy, Jessica, Molly and Cadence.
