Year 1 & 2 @ Windsor Castle

Posted: 26th April 2018

This week, Year 1 and 2 went on a trip to Windsor Castle. It was warm and sunny in the morning so we started off with a guided tour. Our tour guard asked us many questions about castle’s history and fortifications. We made our teachers proud because we could answer all of them so that means we were taught very well! After that we admired one of the Beefeaters marching up and down – he did not talk to us and he looked very serious!

Before lunch we looked at amazingly detailed Doll’s House and many girls wished to have one…

We were not allowed to run around Windsor Castle, so our teachers took us to the park nearby to blow off some steam. Finally, we walked around St George’s Chapel to see where Prince Harry will be getting married.

On the coach back to school, a few children fell asleep so it looks like it was an exciting and exhausting day 🙂 Great fun!
