The children nearly all loved the Sports day today. Most of them joined in with the races, even those who did not join in with the practices joined in this morning. There was lots of fast running – some children just ran and ran and ran and didn’t stop. The children did a brilliant job with balancing their treasure on the spoons (there was no cheating at all!) The obstacle race did not prove to be a challenge for them at all. They walked the plank beautifully, jumped in the rock pools (the hoops) with no problems and were able to throw their treasure into the bucket at the end to keep it safe.
We are very proud of how well such young children did. Some of them ran for miles and there was lots of laughter and only few tears. A fantastic morning!
