To begin with, I would like to thank all of you who showed so much support to prepare your children for this wonderful school event. I can clearly see that all of you worked extremely hard over the half term so the children were confident and proud to perform the poems they had chosen.
Poetry is essential for children because it is “the best words in the best order.” The rhythm and rhymes can help them develop a love a language—and a love of reading.
