Bocketts Farm – Reception Trip

Posted: 12th October 2021

Reception thoroughly enjoyed their school trip to Bocketts Farm. There were lots of animals to see and stroke on our tour of the farm, they especially liked stroking the horse! We went on a very bumpy tractor ride around the grounds of the farm to see the animals in the fields. The children could run free in the farm garden to explore the freshly growing fruit, vegetables and herbs which the children enjoyed smelling. The children were then shown around the barn where they could pet the animals, there was a very cheeky lamb trying to escape! They were also allowed to stoke the smaller animals including a very loud cockerel! Before we had our lunch we had a little play in the soft play area. After lunch we went to watch the pig racing where we cheered on the pigs with our colourful flags. They were very fast at running but the green pig won the race! For the afternoon the children got to enjoy the wide range of play activities there were to do including the playground and slides, jumping pillow and go karts. It was definitely a fun filled and jam packed day at the farm.
