Last week during our STEM lesson, Year 1 explored their taste senses by trying different types of food and using scientific vocabulary to describe them. They used words such as ‘crunchy, soft, sweet, salty, gooey and juicy’ to describe their food. They tried bread, hula hoops, carrot sticks, strawberries and dried cranberries. The children loved thinking about different words to describe and learnt all about how we need to eat a balanced diet to help us keep healthy.
