LEAF – Year 1

24th January 2022

Year 1 enjoyed an interesting and hands on session this week. They explored outside and were tasked with collecting sticks and leaves. Once collected they set about tying them together to make their own paint brushes and tools for art. They loved using the brushes to create texture and patterns.

Drama – Fairytales

24th January 2022

Reception class are performing fairy stories in drama this term. This week they performed the Elves and the Shoemaker. They loved becoming cheeky little elves and acting out the story making sure the shoemaker showed surprise when he saw the elves making the shoes for him.

STEM – Year 2

Year 2 had an amazing lesson to start their new STEM topic. They explored the classroom and the outside areas looking for a range of different examples of materials.

Great work from our talented Year 6 with their very own name signs. Inspired by comic strip and cartoons we love that some children have used their nicknames to tie into the fun and eye catching theme! These look great on display at school.

LEAF – Looking up

This week Year 1 wandered down to the local park for their LEAF session. Looking up was key as they spent time identifying different birds, their calls and silhouettes. Christmas Camp fun

What a success the Lyndhurst Christmas Camp was. Although it was only four days, the children took part in a wide range of activities.
