Reception trip to Painshill Park

Posted: 26th September 2018

Reception have been to Painshill Park this week on a trip to compliment their exploration of our senses at school.  We enjoyed an Arts and Crafts workshop where we made art using all sorts of materials found in the woods.  We collected sticks, beech nut shells, leaves, bark, sticks and chestnut cases to make pictures on the ground.  Then we used mud, grass, charcoal, clay and sticks to draw a rather sticky picture.  We also used willow to make crowns.

In the afternoon we walked around the park on an I-Spy trail.  The children were particularly taken with the beautiful bridges, the shapes in the Gothic Temple and the magical Grotto.
