We have just received a fantastic news that Alexandra’s article had been selected as the winner in the age 7 – 9 category for the Surrey Advertiser competition! After Kerry Gibb’s visit at our school, Alex was inspired to take part in the writing competition and she reported on a local event. She used a very effective alliteration for the headline: Silhouette Soldier Sabotage and included all the other features of a newspaper article that Miss Jezierska taught her about.
Alex’s article will be printed in the Surrey Advertiser newspaper alongside their other reporters. She has also won a signed copy of Kerry’s latest book It’s A Kid’s Life – Christmas Countdown, a £10 book voucher, plus a £10 voucher of Alex’s choice from Xbox Live, PlayStation, New Look, Sports Direct, Amazon or Claire’s Accessories.
