Well we certainly ‘decked the hall’ at our Christmas Wreath making Workshop hosted by Flowers by Juliette. A fantastic turnout for a very enjoyable evening which raised £160 for the FoL.

This week, Year 3 and 4 walked to Kingsclear Care Home to sign carols for the elderly people. On a miserable, wet, winter’s afternoon, Year 5 and 6 ventured out on the Number 1 Bus to visit the residents of Kings Lodge. Recently Year 1 and 2 visited Corrina Lodge care home. They sang the songs from their nativity beautifully and made everyone smile! They finished off the visit with a nice cold drink and a chocolate as a treat!

We have recently introduced bean bags and added some lovely Dr Seuss quotes to the library. The children are enjoying reading in a more relaxed and comfortable environment. This week began with a peaceful time for reflection. Year 6 presented an assembly about Christingle, attended by their parents, grandparents and the whole school. They showed everyone how a Christingle is made and what each part symbolises. They went through the history of the Christingle and the part it plays in the Children’s Society….
