Carol Service brings term to a close

Posted: 13th December 2019

Reception to Year Six gathered along with staff, parents and other family members in the wonderful setting of St. Michael’s Church on Friday 13th December for Lyndhurst School’s annual Carol Service. After a heartfelt welcome from Rev. Nicole, the congregation enjoyed music, readings, prayers and many carols with all the children fully involved. The orchestra commenced the service with ‘Little Drummer Boy, followed by the first verse of Once in Royal David’s City sung beautifully by a few children.  Year One Readers ended the service with a delightful ‘Christmas Blessing’ whilst Year Six demonstrated their linguist skills wishing us all in a variety of languages.

We were all blessed to have enjoyed such a moving and celebratory end of term. Thank you to the Music Department and all of the members of the Upper School Choir, the Readers and all the children for their hard work right until the end of term.  The Carol Service ensured we all started the holidays in the ‘Christmas Mood’.  ‘Vrolyk Kerstfeest!’, ‘Joyeux Noel!’
