A big thank you to all the staff and volunteers at the FAST museum in Farnborough for such a warm welcome to our Year 2 children. When they first arrived, they were amazed by the replica biplane above. They were taught everything about their final explorer Samuel Cody and introduced to the history of flying in Farnborough and Aldershot. They were allowed to walk around the museum and even got to touch vital pieces of history, including the first-ever jet engine; part of a rocket that has been to space and Samuel Cody’s helmet. They were very well behaved and impressed our leaders with their knowledge of the Wright Brothers. They even spotted a replica of the Wright Brother’s plane hidden behind Samuel Cody’s biplane. What an interesting morning all the children had!
