The school has been serenaded with beautiful music over the last few weeks and this was finished off with a bang at the Spring Concert. The Spring concert showcased music from all over the world, decades and Genres, and the children really rose to the challenge of performing to a live audience once again. We enjoyed pieces from our orchestra, year 6 hand bells, year 3 recorder groups, and our year 3 and 6 choir, along side the very talented Lyndhurst Rock Group, who treated us to a Madness classic ‘Step Beyond’.
Our soloists this year gave us the chance to enjoy the piano, solo singing, recorder, guitar and clarinet. The whole concert was rounded off with resounding performance by the Year 3 to 6 choir with the Bruno Mars hit ‘Count on Me’.
A huge congratulations to all the music students who have been performing over the last couple of weeks in both the assemblies and at the Spring concert, we are very proud of their efforts and achievements this term. A big thank you to all of our wonderful music teachers, Mrs Peacock, Mr Dawson and Mr Hughes and our choir master Mrs Rudkin for all of their hard work in preparing the students for their performances.
