Poetry Recitals

Posted: 13th June 2023

On Thursday 8th June, all the pupils gathered in Deacon Hall to watch the class finalists of the Poetry Recital. A big thank you to our judging panel, they had a very difficult job because each performance was phenomenal!

The finalists were: A Year 3 with her own poem “On my way to School”

A Year 5 student who performed “The trials” written by Nicola Davies

A Year 4 student was chosen as the whole school winner as his performance of “Fireplace” (by Connie Wanek) blew everyone’s mind! He even brought a prop, a hand-made fireplace, to represent the meaning of the poem. His performance was sent to CLIPPA and hopefully he will get a chance to perform on stage in London! Good luck!
